About

The Firm

Ventus Wealth Management was born out of a simple motivation: to add value to our ideal clients. After a decade of experience in the workforce, I grew frustrated with trying to find a financial services arrangement that worked for me. I could not find a firm or advisor that provided the desired combination of: fee and incentive structure, flexible service model, modern technology solutions, virtual meeting arrangement, and specific empathy and expertise for my personal situation.

In fact, I saw a whole lot things that I knew I didn’t want. There was clearly a gap in the financial services market for people like me. With this experience in mind, I decided to solve my own problem and start Ventus Wealth Management for people with the same frustrations I had.

Everything about Ventus Wealth Management is done with our desired clients in mind. If you notice something about our service or business model, rest assured it was done deliberately with the intention of adding value for our clients.

The word Ventus means “wind” in Latin. I chose this name because it is both a reflection of who I am as a person and an inspiration for what I want this firm to be.

Wind represents my identity as a pilot, sailor and Navy veteran. It also acts as a metaphor for the forces of personal finance. Through my own personal experiences, I have observed wind cause tremendous damage and danger when not properly respected. However, with human skill and spirit, wind can be the energy behind amazing personal accomplishments – such as sailing across oceans or flying an airplane around the world. The forces of finance are similar: they can cause massive damage or be skillfully channeled for tremendous achievement.

Ventus Wealth Management captures the inspiration of wind when helping our clients skillfully navigate the ebbs and gusts of personal finance in order to achieve their wealth goals and dreams.

Core Values:

  • Integrity. Always do the right thing even when difficult or unpopular.
  • Service. Serve our clients first. Create strong families and communities.
  • Freedom. Power to choose a personal path through life that comes from discipline and self-control.
  • Wealth-Plus. True wealth is more than a number and includes – experiences, relationships, and health.
  • Courage. Intellectual honesty and the ability to admit when wrong. Question assumptions and be humble.
  • Evidence-Based. Strive to apply the methods of science and engineering to personal finance. Analytical rigor.
